FREE TO FLY MINISTRIES LANDS IN SANFORD, FLORIDA.....NEXT STOP: 2013!

The Sanford, Florida Gracepoint Church of the Nazarene was the last "Revival" stop on the calendar for 2012!  It was good to be able to sleep in my own bed and relax in familiar surroundings and the 50 minute drives to Sanford and back were great times to reflect on how the Lord has blessed this past 12 months.

And our services were a capstone for the year.  They were filled with His presence, they were filled with great music, and they were filled with wonderful people.  Like so many of our times this past year, attendance and anticipation grew nightly.  Pastor and people came together to see God provide a spirit of unity and renewal for the church.  Like so many of our times this past year, it was difficult to pray the final benediction and say "good bye" to so many new friends.

This fine church reflected all the others with a good mix of young and old, a good mix of newer believers and long-time Christ followers.  It shared the passion for reaching others that I felt as I ministered across the country.  It provided weekly opportunities for Christ centered fellowship and spiritual growth.

Pastor Wayne Thomas

The pastor, Rev. Wayne Thomas,  was reminiscent of the other wonderful men and women who fill Nazarene pulpits around the church.  Men and women who faithfully serve their Savior with a "call" to preach and a heart to pastor.  Men and women who want the river of God's Spirit to flow freely through the church.  Men and women who have dedicated their lives to telling the good news!  I am proud to be a part of such a wonderful group.

Thanks to these trusting men and women I was privileged to stand behind 26 different pulpits and deliver the "thus saith the Lord" to their churches.  I do not take that honor lightly.  It has been a blessed year and I am excited to see what He has in store for 2013.  I believe that the best is yet to come.
